Mountain Manufacturing is a full-service sub-contract medical device component manufacturer whose core competencies include Swiss turning, 5 Axis Milling,  Multi-Axis Mill-Turn capabilities and EDM capabilities.

We’re hiring full-time, 1st shift CNC 5 Axis Swiss Programmer/Machinist to help achieve our mission of providing our customers with superior products that exceed their expectations. This requires us to develop personnel to support customer needs from a range of production processes including high-volume production to rapid product development while using the shortest lead-time.

We are willing to pay top dollar for individuals who can think outside the box and strive for perfection beyond making a part to print.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years’ experience in the medical device component or related tight tolerance industry with a track record of having excellent workmanship standards.


The ideal candidate will have the ability to program medical components with tolerances up to +/-.0001 using GIBBS CAM and/or MasterCam software.

Read and interpret customer-supplied blueprints, internal work instructions, and job processing travelers.

Set-up and/or assist operators with the set-up of Hass Milling Machines.

Machine and/or assist operators with the machining process to produce precision machined parts for the medical device industry including troubleshooting programs, monitoring tooling wear, etc.

In-Process inspection of parts and monitoring of processes to ensure parts adhere to Mountain Manufacturing’s workmanship standards and exceed customer expectations.

Multitask; Work on several projects at the same time without losing the ability to complete them on time and within customer specifications.

Maintain quality and safety records, including monthly preventive maintenance of equipment.

Adhere to and promote quality assurance procedures and processes.


High school diploma or equivalent.

5+ years’ experience with programming in the medical device component or related tight tolerance industry.

Advanced ability to read and interpret documents such as customer supplied Cad files, blueprints, safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure guidelines.

Basic measurement of close tolerances.

Knowledgeable in the usage and understanding of inspection tools and GD&T print specifications and how they are applied.

Mechanical and mathematical knowledge a plus!


Technical mathematics skills required.

CAD/CAM software experience (GiBBS/MasterCam)

Skilled experience in complex component manufacturing processes.

Greater understanding of machine control management, including awareness of all standard machine code terminology and usage.

Proficient understanding of engineering drawings for a wide range of complexities and compliances, including the interpretation of GD&T specifications.

Computer skills to support program management & file management.

Understanding of cutting tool technology and terminology.

Proficient in the utilization of hard gaging measuring equipment and vision systems including microscopes.

Confident and open personality who can communicate effectively, both written and orally with people at all levels.

Positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Knowledge of Quality Systems; FDA regulations and ISO requirements.

Multitasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in timely manner.

Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
